Some of the significance of a mentor in the workplace is that they will help an individual increase his or her skills especially if the person has built some good relationship with the mentor who is within the working environment. A mentor can be described as an individual with skills that are above yours and thus, an individual can learn from him or her by either through observations or even taking some informal lessons from his or her teachings. Some of the ways in which an individual will discover more from his mentor is if they work in the same environment since the individual will have a great chance to see whet the mentor does as well as approaching him or her more easily for any mentorship skills and bonding. One of the ways in which an individual can build the mentor and mentee relationship is through the mentee approaching the mentor and asking him or her to be his or her mentor politely as they explain how they admire the work that the mentor does as well as the skills that they portray overall. Some of the benefits that an individual will get by building a strong connection with his or her mentor is that they will discover more of the mentor even when they are having some lunch or sharing some snacks during a work brake as well as freely taking through the emails which will result to a stronger bond between the two as they will connect faster. For one to build his or her life skills, they will need some mentor who will be able to guide them as they will discover more successful especially if the mentor is of the same profession as the individual.

An individual will discover more than what he was thinking of especially when they have formed the best relationship with the mentor as they will benefit from the relationship more and be successful in life skills. The first benefit that one will get from the mentor is a one on one coaching which will be of benefit since an individual will get some teaching even when they have finished their work. The benefit of one on one will come in handy when an individual needs some of the life skills that the mentor has as well as getting all the attention of the mentor as they will give them more information and ideas on how to be successful just as they have been. The other benefit that an individual will get form having a mentor is that they will get some support from the workplace which will eventually reduce the stress when an individual is at work. Thus, an individual should look for a mentor if they want to be successful in life since they will be able to discover more of their essential life skills through the mentor especially if they have a good relationship.
